First up:  the small projects.  For the six Project Quilting challenges I made mug rugs.  I still have most of them - they need to find a home!  Although they look great on my wall....  I also threw together a carry case with some crumb fabric I had on hand.  It's perfect for my hand-me-down tablet.

| Swirly Dresden, nightgown Dancing dress, leafy sweatshirt |
I worked on some clothing as well.  I recreated my Swirly Dresden sweatshirt.  It looks great against the black (and it fits me so much better than the blue one).  I also finished a leafy sweatshirt for my Mom in time for Christmas.  Swanson's fabric had four yards of this pretty flowered pastel knit.  It was enough to make a new dancing dress and a summer nightshirt.  If I can find more fabric I like at Swanson's, I have more skirt and dress patterns to try out.
There are so many projects in my backlog.  I'm hoping to put a dent into it this year.  Plus, this season's Project Quilting starts up soon.  It will be fun!

So fun to see your quilt and sewing project parade, Sally! Hexie Crumble really appeals to me - I love all that color. Happy New Creating Year!
ReplyDeleteI love the nightshirt and dress, especially! I check Swansons website now and then, but have to remind myself that I don't know enough about fabric and sewing to make a good decision on a website fabric purchase. I do plan to sew in 2023, though! I just got some really nice strong cardboard to hopefully use as a cutting surface atop a bed, since I can't get on the floor anymore. Do you think it will work?
