Surrounded by Green

We're finally moving out of the muddy grey spring season and into many shades of green.  Ahhh....  Spring arrives a week or two later up here on the hill than it does in the center of town.  Our trees are seriously thinking about leafing out in the near future while a mile or two away trees have real leaves.  Alas, the weeds are growing as fast as the grass and my perennials.  I still love the lushness of it all.

I'm complimenting the outside greens with shades of sage green on my design wall.  I had picked a several green fabrics I thought were all in the same family.  I ended up discarding a few for when i started cutting.  But then once it went up on the board, I ended up grabbing one or two of the rejects.  Now I'm finding that a couple of my initial choices don't work so well (that super pale green fades right into the background).  I'm in the fence with the darker greens (but one of them has bears and bunny rabbits - I want to keep those!).  One of the minty greens goes better than the other.

The photo of the quilt I decided to copy didn't have a name with it, so I made up the pattern as I went along.  I cut a number of pieces the wrong size and have changed my approach at least twice.

I anticipate spending a good amount of time rearranging the wall.  Assembly should go relatively quickly once I get a color layout I like.
