I'm currently quilting my mystery quilt that I started last
spring. I followed the clues for the rectangular baby quilt although I
intended to create a square wall hanging. So there were extra pieces
when I finished the final clue.
I made a few small blocks from the excess pieces and thought they'd be good mug rugs. I happened to quilt them before the wall hanging. It's a bit backwards to finish the "clean up" projects first, but there ya go.
I made four blocks with two patterns - enough for two mug rugs. I managed to sandwich them nearly straight and true. Not bad! Little bit of quilting, some binding and they're all done.

Those are pretty, Sally! I like the dark and light neutral combinations you put together. Very cozy and warm!
