Playing with Buttons

I wanted to decorate some hair combs to go with my dancing outfits - I was in need of something blue.  I enjoyed making the fabric flowers; now I wanted to play with buttons.  I wasn't happy with the buttons I had, so I found some blue and green (and unexpected gold) buttons at Swanson's.  The blues and greens are not as vibrant as I wanted, but I think they will look nice.  I fell in love with the golden-brown buttons and bought them without any specific plans.  They fit on a comb nicely and I can already think of at least one outfit that will go with.  

It was a quick evening project to wire them together with a bit of florist wire.

    Those are cute! I was wondering if you hot glued the buttons to the combs - until I read your last sentence. :) Have fun wearing them!

    I have so many buttons! I inherited a container that belonged to my husband's grandmother. You came up with a great way to use them!

    Pretty combs and such a great idea to use buttons! Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday and sharing the idea to use florist wire to add the buttons. I hope you had another fun week and got to wear your pretty combs. Now I think I need to make some for my grands and great grands. The littles love to dress up and one is in dance and always does her hair just so. 😁
