All sorts of projects in the works. Two quilts pinned and ready to quilt. I just need to figure out what pattern I want to do.
Spent way too much time surfing Pinterest for scrappy, crumb and string ideas. Ooh, what do I want to do next??
I also got around to cutting the fabric I originally bought for the kaleidoscope blocks. Look how they turned out! (Design floor in use because I used all the batting that was on my design wall. Need to replace that soon!)
The blocks remind me of inkblot tests. I'm amazed by the different patterns, especially a couple that look like spirals. I have enough to make at least a good sized wall quilt, if not a throw quilt. Most of them are 5½ and 4 inch blocks (and two tiny blocks). I'm thinking of surrounding them with different colored strings because I'm tired of working in just black and white. Although simple white borders could be enough. Opinions on size, layout and color?
I've also pulled colors for the baby quilt. I've narrowed down to two patterns; I just need to commit to one of them and start cutting. That will be fun!
