I have been quilting away. I cannot believe how correctly setting my
bobbin tension has solved ALL my quilting issues (well, except for user
error...). Even
stitches. No weird looped or breaking threads. The bobbin doesn't rattle so much. I only need to stop
stitching when I've finished the area I'm quilting, I've run out of bobbin
thread, or I've messed up the pattern.
It's bliss.
It also means I'm nearly done quilting the Lone Star quilt. Red should be wrapped up today; only the white and pink on the edge is left.
Binding is ready to go once it's quilted. I also have binding ready for another quilted piece. I can't wait to see these done. Soon! Then I can reset my sewing machine back to piecing and focus on the baby quilt.
I have also been playing with the inkblot blocks. There's a few extra blocks I can't squeeze into the design; maybe they'll be mug rugs or I'll stitch them into the backing. I'm now shying away from a scrappy-color sashing/background and looking for a single-colored background. But I'm liking this layout and will run with this.
