Stitching Away

I've been participating in Canuck Quilter's mystery quilt.  I was doing so well on the latest block until I started ironing the pieces.  I managed to sew one right-side to wrong-side.  D'oh!

It was a flip and stitch corner, so in addition to the required piece I also have a set of tiny 1½-inch half square triangles to use in some other project somewhere.

This will be a wall quilt when it's finished.  The steps have been quick and easy - I'm curious how it turns out.

I am also diligently working on the Midnight Garden quilt.  I've finished all the main squares.  I just need to add the corners.  I practice with some kaleidoscope cutting and I like the results.  I've been juggling a bunch of commitments and a cranky rotator cuff which is delaying my next round of work.  I'm hoping to spend some serious time after Easter.

  1. You have my full sympathy on the shoulder issue! And also my admiration on the mystery quilt - I've never had the nerve to sign on for a mystery knit, although I've seen some lovely finished mystery projects. Looking forward to seeing your results!
Oh, and I now think of your Drapes of Doom as your Destiny Drapes :)

  2. I've always enjoyed taking part in a mystery quilt. I haven't done one in awhile. I'm curious as to how yours will finish up. I'll be keeping an eye out!!

  3. Oops on sewing a wrong side out piece! We've all done that a time or two. I'll be curious to see how your mystery quilt comes together! The Midnight Garden blocks look like they're coming together nicely. Are you happier with the layout now? I'm so sorry about the cranky rotator cuff. My husband is dealing with that and it is no fun!
