We had been requested to foster them because they started fighting due to the stress of being in the shelter. When we brought them home they continued to spat. However, every single day they calmed down a bit more and they'd curl up next to each other to nap. Clearly they liked each other. Within a few days Moses stopped ninja-jumping. Brownie stopped chattering his teeth so loudly and even let himself be picked up.
Progress!
But bright and early Monday morning (they had not even been with us for 48 hours!) I got the call that they had an adopter. Not surprising - there were not many piggies at the shelter and these two are adorable.
Thankfully, their new owners would not be in until Thursday afternoon. So I squeezed in as many cuddles and photos as I could before packing them up and shipping them back.
<sigh> Simply not enough time with these two.
Moses managed to gain a full 30 grams while he was here (that's a lot for less than a week). I had warned Dakin he was a growing boy (and likely to get in Brownie's face once he filled out). I was amused by his long curls near his ears and his mullet backside. Moses started to run laps by the third or fourth day here, and figured out our routine pretty quickly. He was shaping up to be the loud demanding pig and constantly requested treats. You picked me up? Then I need food.Brownie was also front-and-center for veggies but not quite so verbal about it. He may not have been as soft as Moses, but was very good at being held and snuggled. Brownie was a laid back pig. I hope that their adopters have a cage large enough to work through their adolescence. If so, I think they'll be life-long friends. These guys were a blast!

Oh no, they’re gone so quickly! I loved seeing pictures of them. I suppose it’s better that they were adopted but I’ll miss them!
