Bursting at the Seams

Oh, boy!  A quick post before a busy weekend.  First up - I have a flimsy for the lone star quilt.  I pushed through the last few seams so I could start working on my Project Quilting quilt (due on Sunday!).  I did pretty well with the points, but the middle does not lay flat - obviously something is wonky.  I'm not confident it will hang straight on the wall.  I'll have to take a better look at it next week.

My sister entered into a gallery show last year called Small Works.  I thought that might be fun to participate in this year, but we both forgot about it until this week.  Luckily there's still enough time to enter, but my sister and I need to hustle.  Once I finish my Project Quilting project, I'll move onto this.

Meanwhile - we had a piggy photo shoot on yesterday.   This is one of the goofy photos of Orion to share on the Dakin Humane adoption page.  He's such a good boy!

  1. Your lone star design looks amazing to me! I hope you figure out the center issue so that you can hang it. And good luck with the show entries, too. That sounds interesting!

  2. The lone star came out great. I think once you quilt it, it will lay much flatter.
