I Like Thursday: Springing Spring

It's been a while since I've written:  good stuff, bad stuff and just plain life stuff.  A few recent photos reminded me of the things I like.  The snow has melted (and we even have a bit of green grass in our front yard!).

Rob took me out to hike around Buffham Falls.  As you can see there's plenty of water!   (You can also see Rob is less than thrilled I'm including him in the photo.)

We went out for dinner in Greenfield and I saw shiny birds on a building.  Crows?  Pigeons?  Pretty cool.

The Canuck Quilter is hosting another mystery quilt.  Remember the Half and Half one I participated in last year?  I don't know what this one will become, but I've chosen a set of goldish brownish neutrals (my original pick of all taupe fabrics didn't have enough contrast).  Week 2 complete.

I like that I managed to complete my last Project Quilting Season 16 challenge just in time.  I keep finding a few more places I could add buttons but I need to stop.

A good chunk of my March lately has been working on Midnight Garden (unfortunately mostly ripping seams apart).  But I've started sewing things together again.  I am hopeful I can get some traction on this.  I had really anticipated having a flimsy by the end of March before the quilt and I disagreed with how it was progressing.

My sister and I are playing Myst (a computer game) again.  We started replaying the series during the pandemic lockdown as a way to do something together yet remote.  We haven't played in a couple of years; we're picking up where we left off with Uru.  Something about the Cyan logo music takes me to my happy place.  We both get excited when we sit down and boot up the game.  I love being able to share this with her.

Linking up with LeeAnn's I Like Thursday.

  1. The weather is definitely getting better although some days are still cold and windy! I guess that's Spring in New England. I think you got so much done! Midnight Garden looks challenging so it's best to take your time. I've had to un-sew too many times!!

  3. Tell Rob we all say Hello! :) Love those silvery birds on the building - that's cool! I think your Midnight Garden blocks look beautiful, but so sorry you've had to do that un-sewing. Playing the game with your sister sounds fun!

  4. Yes Rob looks totally thrilled there, LOL. Lovely springy post, Sally. Neat to be doing a mystery qal and especially wonderful I think to be playing that online game with your sister. My grandson Jack plays a game online with friends and they seem to have the most wonderful time at it.
