Green Sandwich and Inkblots

I finished the top of the sage quilt.  I love the little dark green squares.

I had picked a taupe color for the backing that I thought would work.  Once I put it near the front of the quilt I hated it.  I found a few more fabrics in my stash that I liked better but none had enough yardage.  Okay - new plan.

As it turns out I had way more green for the front than I needed, so used the strips and leftover chunks for the back.I had intended the backing to be mostly one solid piece of fabric.  Oh, well - this works!

I've set up the sewing machine to quilt and hope to get some quilting done this week.

Meanwhile, I'm debating about how much white space to add into the Inkblots quilt.  This latest picture is with the pieces placed closer together.  I'm hoping to buy fabric next weekend. Maybe white?  Maybe a color?  Definitely something solid or low volume.
