Being Blobby Between Beggings

The Powerpuff Girls (my current fosters from Dakin Humane) are settling in.  Blossom is still terribly shy, but also happens to be the wheekiest of the bunch.

Buttercup has learned that scritches are good - she doesn't run away quite so often and leans into me when I scritch her head and shoulders.  Oh, yeah, right there is good.

I often find these two hanging out on the third level.  Blossom is always in the cozy and Buttercup camps out as close as she can to the cozy, but never in it.

Preferences changed when I swapped out the cozy for a cuddle cup.  Buttercup is the frequent occupant, but even Bubbles took a turn sacking out.

Bubbles is a butt-head.  She forces herself into the cozy with Blossom to much screaming and fussing.  Bubbles gets ousted as often as she's successful (Blossom is adamant the cozy is hers alone).  Bubbles steals food from both Buttercup and Blossom and often snaps at them, too.  But then she'll chill out in a corner and there is peace in the cage.  It's the typical bickering among three sows; overall they get along well with each other.

All three are expert loafers.  They're more than happy to blob out - I suspect to conserve energy to wheek for treats!

It took them a few weeks, but they've finally mastered wheeking and begging at the edge of the cage.  I'm no longer a terrifying presence in the room.  Please, please feed us!  Blossom gets so excited, when she's on the third level she'll hang waayyy over the edge hoping to get the treat faster.  We found Buttercup emulating her last night.  Luckily they have plenty of ballast - no chance of them tipping over the edge.

I have yet to get a video of the crazy wheeking - but I did capture them hunting down and eating pieces of cilantro as fast as they could:

This last week has made such a difference in their personalities.  These are the gals I thought they'd be when they came here for fostering.  It just took them longer than usual to warm up to us and adjust to their surroundings.
