I Like Thursday: Recouping

Still alive and kicking out there?  How about a few little things that made me smile this week?

This snowball fight on Twitter made me smile.  How nice to see people playing out in the streets.  Did I read right that it was 50 years since Madrid had this much snow?

I'm playing with strings and circles and my new ruler.  Ooh.  Fun!

I love the guinea pig mug I got several years ago.  It had the pigs I've blogged about up until Cannoli, but was missing Boadicea, Wedgwood and Mabel.  So I made another photo mug; it arrived this week!  Tea with goofy pigs is always a little something to smile about.

Just started the latest Cormoran Strike novel.  This book is a beast at nearly 1000 pages long!

Head over to Not Afraid of Color's I Like Thursday for a little levity for the week.

  1. You have some fun things to play with - a new ruler, a new mug! 1000 pages! That should keep you busy for a bit!

  2. I wasn't familiar with Cormoran Strike, so had to go look the books up - it's JK Rowling! I'll definitely have to try one of those. Love your string blocks, and then cut in a circle shape, too - neat! I'll enjoy seeing what you do with them. Cute mugs with your guinea pigs on them!

  6. Hi,
Wonder what strings and circles turn into...it will be beautiful when finished...Guinea Pigs are so cute. My son had hamsters when he was little. I checked out your book, sounds awesome. I'll be adding this book to my ever growing TBR list. Thanks so much for stopping by my place...have a great day!

  7. Gorgeous new mugs to start the morning with a smile. Madrid got snowed under although there had been warnings of snowfalls all the week - no preparations were made and hundreds got stranded and couldn´t get home from work.
