Hay Rack Feedback

I had lots of little fleece scraps that were too small to make cozies or even a hammock.  So I threw together a couple of hay racks based on a design I created last year.  I've liked mine - but I'd like opinions from others.  Do you think your guinea pigs would use a hay rack like this?  Would you be willing to try it out?

I'm looking to trade hay racks for feedback.  I'll send you a hay rack, try it out, then tell me what you and your pigs like/dislike after using it for several weeks.

If you are interested in participating, please pick a color:  yellow, floral, teal or blue/green and eave a comment here or on the Cavymadness Facebook page.  If you leave a comment here, be sure you are not a no-reply blogger or include your email address in the comment.  I'll pick a few people on Tuesday, April 25th and send them out.  Thanks!

  1. Hay feeders are an ongoing experiment here - I have actually lost count of my designs and modifications. If you ever make a goat-sized hay rack, I will put it up and send you feedback within 24 hours that may include Campion racing around the paddock waving tattered strips of chewed-up fleece on his horns :)

  2. Hi Sally,
I would love to try out the hay rack. I've been looking at different ways of offering hay. You already know that regular rack "leak" out of the cage/condo. The hay pile I leave in the pen gets soiled before it gets eaten. My preference is first- teal, then blue floral. Looking forward to hearing from you!

  3. That is a great design you have. I think my boys would go for the teal or blue:green...
