I Like Thursday: Lots of Links

Yeah, I'm kind of cheating with this post.  It's been a crazy, busy week, with tons going on, so I'm going to post some of what I've already posted about.  But there was lots to like!

I like this shed/playhouse that was raffled at Windmill Weekend.  It somehow missed last week's post.  Isn't the squid neat?

I like pignics.  We held the Boston Fall Pignic on Sunday.  Good weather, plenty of guinea pigs.  Boadicea and Wedgwood enjoyed the day.

I like the Blogger's Quilt Festival.  It's running this week.  I've entered two quilts.  Woot!

I like that I finished the dress.  Yes, the unspeakable one.  Did the top stitching, took it in the sides, finished the sleeves and hemmed the bottom.  It's done!  I have to say, I do nice work.  Whether I keep it or give it away, it doesn't matter.  I am now free to use the leftover fabric and move on.  I certainly like that.

Speaking of finishing unspeakable things... I am so glad I'm done with a class I've been taking for work that just dragged on and on.  Finished!  I feel so much lighter!

Don't ask me how I managed to do this, but I found three boxes of graham crackers in my cupboards.  So I tried this recipe (skipped the butter, used less powdered sugar, dipped in dark chocolate).  I like them - crunchy, peanut buttery, chocolatey.  Very easy to make.  I have two more recipes to try, once I refresh my stock of marshmallow and Fluff.

Be sure to check out other I Like posts at Not Afraid of Color.

  3. how does the dress twirl? It's sure pretty, and I know what you mean about doing it right. There is so much pleasure in making something well.
Pignics... I want to come some day and see all the squeeing pigs!

  4. Every time I see a pig in a poke (!), I wonder how it would be to have a human sized one to slip into and read, on a cold day.
