A quiet week. My neck and shoulders still hurt from last Saturday. What the heck did I do to myself? I've been trying to take it easy - a little reboot and recovery.
I like eating my share of the Easter candy we made. Serious sugar overload on Sunday, but I've paced myself since then.
I like finding Wedgwood snuggled up. She doesn't use the tunnels as often as she used to, so it was a pleasant surprise to see her curled up in there. She's been in there most of this week.
I enjoy sending little surprise packages to people. Some paves to my sister, toffee to some others.
I like doodling to practice free motion quilting. I usually do this before trying a new design to see what feels right and looks good. (I see the wavy circle pattern I used on one of the mug rugs.) I've seen some lovely designs that I can't quite recreate. Others take several tries to get the hang of it, even with pen on paper. The flowers on the left were a bit of a surprise - didn't feel/look so good as I did them, but now that I step back and look at them, I really like them. Maybe I need to try that sometime.
I like that I'm using up the last of the cursed dress fabric. Done! The bowls are a little lumpy because I folded the fabric for a clean edge. I like two of them; the other two not so much. Oh, well. They're done!
I like that I saw a groundhog in the back yard yesterday. I thought they had been wiped out - I haven't seen any in over a year.
The likes continue on over at Not Afraid of Color's I Like Thursday.
Awe Wedgewood is so cute. I think your doodles look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteyou make me want a Wedgie for my own! those are happy baskets and quilting pieces.
ReplyDeleteHi Sally,
ReplyDeleteThose bowls are so cool and the perfect use for any cursed fabric! Useful, pretty and now that fabric is out of your stash. Your doodling looks fabulous to me - all of it would be great as FMQ. And how cute is little Wedgewood?! That face, peaking out at you has to make you smile big! ~smile~ Roseanne
That little Wedgewood is adorable. I love your doodling and it is harder than it looks to do. I've tried! I really have to be careful with sugar so it's lucky I don't have a sweet tooth.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun picture of Wedgewood in her tunnel! Love your doodling for FMQ, too - it's something I know I should do, but never seem to get around to. Hope your neck and shoulders are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so miss my guinea pig ... but don't tell my hubby - we've sworn off new pets so we have more freedom to be gone overnight(s) ... I will have to live vicariously through you ... In Cleveland, we used to have a family of groundhogs in our back woods ... you knew it was spring when they emerged and started to forage!
ReplyDeleteWedgwood is adorable!!! Sorry to hear about your neck and shoulder, try taking a walk--it is the one thing that helps me (been battling this for years). Your bowls are neat, love the colors! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteYour Wedgewood is cute in the tunnel. We went to the pet store for bird feed on Monday as it was a Bank Holiday. So cute to see the bunnies and hamsters, etc. It makes me want to get another one. But, not with Holly around!
