I Like Thursday: Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve!  I love this year's card.  Didn't my sister do an amazing job?  Those guinea pigs look like they're about to ask for some carrots.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - I like Jeeves and Wooster.  We're watching it yet again (I've started to read the books, too).  Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry are SO YOUNG.  Always good for a laugh.  Now that I'm reading the books, I appreciate how well the TV show captured the characters of the books.

I didn't realize the latest Caravan Palace album had come out, so I got that as an early Christmas present.  Have you heard of them?  They have this great swingy, jazzy sound I just love.

Isn't this table runner beautiful?  I had admired it when my friend posted it on Facebook.  So imagine my surprise when I found it in the box of goodies she dropped off last week! It came with a matching bird needle threader.  Cute!

We had beautiful snow last week; sadly it will all melt by Christmas.  Crazy.  My sister came over on Sunday and we snowshoed out my back door.  It was lovely fluffy white stuff.

It's hilly back there.  We didn't make it all the way up this one - maybe I'll get further next time.  Even from here it offered a great view (if you look carefully through the trees).

I've taken photos of this field before, but not from this corner.  It looks so grey in the photo, but it was so pretty out there.

Did you see?  My ornament is done!  That means I've had time to return to my quilt.  Binding has been sewn on and I'm finishing the edge.  Ah, it's nice to sit with hand work in the evening.

And that's it for my Christmas Eve post.  There will be more holiday cheer over at Not Afraid of Color's I Like Thursday
