I Like Thursday: Keeping Busy

It's been a busy week (and I'll be repeating some of what I've already written about).

I like the hay field across the street.  The seed heads are purple, which looks great against the green.  It was hard to capture the color, but trust me - they're purple.  There's a few purple clover blossoms in that photo, too.  The whole field is quite pretty.

I really, really like my Singer 15-91.  It handily took on the Drapes of Doom.  I had no problem sewing with heavy thread through layers of velvet, jute and denim.

I like that I have my sewing room back.  The floor is no longer covered with piles of drapes.  I'm so excited every time I walk through the room.  Ah!

I like the Molly Murphy mysteries.  I tried the Tea Shop Mysteries, and it wasn't my cup of tea.  But I've really been enjoying Molly Murphy (her Royal Spyness is pretty good, too).  I've just started Hush Now, Don't You Cry.  Thanks Lee Anna for the suggestions!

I like guinea pigs.  Even squirming, wheeking ones that don't want their nails clipped.  Maybe especially the baby squirmy ones because they're just so dang cute.

I like that Boadicea is feeling better.  She was under the weather over the weekend (why always on a holiday weekend??).  It's no fun having a sick animal, so it's great to see her perked up.

I like that I'm heading to Kripalu tomorrow for a long weekend of yoga and relaxation (not necessarily in that order).  I can't wait.

There's more to like - head over to I Like Thursday at Not Afraid of Color.

  1. I can't believe you took on the Drapes of Doom project. Nicely done. I followed the links. It was pretty extensive! mary in Az

  2. That hay field looks pretty, and sounds like a pretty view for you. I always enjoy your guinea pig stories, and glad to hear Boadicea is feeling better - hard for me to imagine a sick guinea pig!

  3. Have a wonderful weekend of relaxation! I loved your photos this week! How sweet!

  4. Hi,
The wheat fields are beautiful. We have some around here.
    Have a great day!

  5. I'm so glad Boadi is feeling better! And I hope you have a wonderful and revitalizing weekend at Kripalu :)

  6. I loved your Access Denied video...I really had no idea guinea pigs could be so adorable and there are so many people out there loving them. Glad you are feeling better and hope your weekend away is a great one.

  7. Great photos. I enjoy seeing a shooting the fields around my house, too.
