I Like Thursday: Errands

Thursday already?  Time to join in with Not Afraid of Color's I Like Thursday.

I just finished three days off.  They flew by, which is a bummer.  On the other hand, I got a lot done, which makes me happy.  Some shopping done, cards sent, made some calls and ran errands.  Not so much sewing as I'd like, but maybe this means I'll have time this weekend.

The lady up the street decided the furry coat wasn't warm enough, and has added pants, boots, a scarf and hat.  And rocking a new pair of glasses.

Our latest foster, Cupcake, has been adopted already!  She's heading out tomorrow. We loved her huge floppy ears.

We visited a local maker space in Orange.  They have tours on Wednesday afternoon.  Pottery!  Leather working.  I watched a laser cutter (that was cool).  I may have drooled in the wood shop.  And I wasn't the first person to inquire if they'll get a longarm machine.  They're still getting off the ground, but I'll be very interested in what they have to offer.

Spent most of the evening sandwiching the first of my quilts and listening to seasonal music (several of the the Winter Solstices albums from Windham Hill).  First one is nearly all basted; the second is ready to lay out.

Kind of short and sweet.  Still a lot to do before Christmas!

  2. If Cupcake was a flavor, she'd be vanilla with caramel and chocolate frosting. What a cutie! I love your lady down the street, too. Lots of fashion opportunities there! That would be cool if the maker space got a long arm.
