I'm working on projects in between projects. Here, on the left, is a pile of 2-inch squares; on the right, about 150 squares stitched together in pairs. Since I took that photo I've stitched together over 600 squares and the bag they came from still has a lot left! I can at least see I've put a dent in it.
Digging through the squares has been fun. There are a few scraps of fabric from my first quilts and all sorts of scraps in between.
These squares are going into a scrappy Sunny Lanes quilt. Right ow I'm trying to decide if the lanes are going to be sunny or shady - or maybe another color entirely?
I laid out squares and triangles on white and black to give me an idea of what it may look like. I'm leaning towards the black. White is nice, but I always get white dirty, so I tend to shy away from it. I have a fair amount of cream, so I could do that too.
I love that block and the design it makes in a quilt! Perfect use for all those scrappy squares!
ReplyDeleteI too, love working on projects in between projects. I rather love the black, too. Have fun stitching all those happy scrappy squares.
ReplyDeleteI like the black too. Can't wait to see it.
